Save time, energy and carbon with Smart Parking Solution

Tainan, the ancient capital of Taiwan, is home to a number of historical and cultural attractions. However, the city's narrow streets and limited capacity to provide more roadside parking spaces in parking hot spots, parking is a major problem. To solve parking problems, Taiwan International Development Co. used smart parking meters and magnetic sensors in roadside parking lots to get status information of the parking spaces. Intelligent Parking Solution not only reduces the time spent on finding a parking space by 5-8 minutes, but also supports mobile payment forms including smart card and iPass. Meanwhile, Taiwan International Development Co. integrated promotional discounts with Intelligent Parking Solution, which is expected to effectively boost the economic activities of surrounding industries. As to the local government, the City Wide Intelligent Parking Situation Room provides quick, easy data visibility, and improves parking management efficiency. Until April 2023, smart parking spaces will increase from 2,000 spaces to 4,000 spaces, among which some combine with meter, payment and charging services.

Traffic big data for improving safe driving

In Taiwan’s rural areas, some bus drives have inappropriate driving behaviors like tailgating, cutting off other drivers, speeding or hard braking, and they may not know they have. These bad habits lead to many customer complaints, and passenger carriers are not easy to monitor and educate drivers. Further, there is few appropriate integrated solutions for vehicles and IoT devices, thus passenger carriers are unable to curb problems like aging components and vehicle breakdown etc. That being the case, Elitegroup Computer Systems Co. (ECS) has built a Smart Vehicles and Driving/Monitoring Cloud Platform which uses AIoT to collect various vehicle data, and minimize the energy consumption during transaction via smart data collection.
