OrionM2M®, a developer and manufacturer of devices for the Internet of Things, has commissioned 75,000 radio modems in Nur-Sultan, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
OrionM2M® radio modems transmit water, electricity and gas meter readings directly to suppliers twice a day in LoRaWAN standard.
The system of wireless transmission of water and electricity meter readings covered both multi-apartment residential complexes and low-rise residential buildings.
As a result of the implementation of this IoT solution, technical losses of electricity have been reduced by 10% per year, and water losses by 15%. The response time to the elimination of accidents and breakouts was reduced by 3 times, the number of errors in the collection of credentials was noticeably reduced.
It was possible to implement such a large-scale telemetry network based on radio modems and gateways manufactured by OrionM2M® in close cooperation with Kazakhtelecom and Astel, the largest telecom operators in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A proprietary IoT platform was developed for monitoring the consumption of utility resources - AMR One. The rich functionality included, among other things, integration with existing billing systems, the ability to access data analytics in the end user's personal account and on the service provider's admin panel.
The autonomy of the radio modems is ensured by a built-in battery, and thanks to its own BatteryCare® technology, the device will last at least 7 years without changing the power source.
OrionM2M®, adhering to the b2b strategy, actively invites dealers, integrators, service companies and everyone interested in the implementation and/or operation of radio modems and software for cooperation.
